Various factors affecting early childhood education in rural areas of developing countries

     What are the factors affecting early childhood education in rural areas of developing countries?

1. Few infrastructure- In most rural areas there may be a lack of proper facilities to cater for all the young children, this includes lack of adequate schools to accommodate the children, lack of proper structured classrooms and learning materials therefore due to few infrastructures it might cause in availability of early childhood education.



2. Teacher shortage- Majority of rural areas face a shortage of qualified teachers for early childhood education, therefore, to cater for this position people who have knowledge on early childhood education are hired, but however this field needs someone experienced and qualified to impart the needed knowledge to children. 



3. Low funding and resources- Due to limited funding and lack of needed resources early childhood education in rural areas remains a struggle as this impacts the quality of education.



4. Nutrition and malnutrition- Fewer food and poor nutrition among children in the rural areas can affect the children's cognitive development and additionally affect the child's ability to learn properly. 



5.Parental Engagement- Limited parent awareness on the importance of early childhood education and low parental involvement can affect children's readiness for school.
